Is this way going to be crowded in August ?
Will accommodation be hard to find because of this month?
Are short stages possible in the heat of this month?

The reason i ask is that we have always finished our caminos in previous years by July and this is a new experience.
We rarely walk more than 20km if possible as we take it all in and will have no problems staying in Alberques to Casa Rurals to Hotels.
Is there ant stages that are harder than others where short stages would be considered.

Assistance would be appreciated.

August is the busiest and hottest month on all routes. Many people get up extremely early to both avoid the heat and to arrive at albergues to secure beds If this bothers you I'd advise you to get a hold of a copy of the CSJ guide to the Camino Frances (if this is the route) which has lots of up to date information on accommodation with phone numbers so you can book ahead.

In saying all of this pilgrims enjoy walking when it is busy and they always finds beds!

Good luck

This is the " Invierno " John,
Others done years ago J , but trying this from Ponferrada to Muxia.
Not sure what to expect with this way as its relatively new and just love the 20km's/day
Thanks for the reply John,

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

Judging by the way things are now you will not find it at all busy in August.
But what you will find is that the infrastructure is not in place, unlike the Camino Frances.
