Time of past OR future Camino

We will be walking the Napoleon route over the Pyrenees on Thursday and Friday of next week. What weather should we plan for? Temps? Rain or sun?

Hi @falconbrother!
I am walking now and get cold easily and had a similar puffy coat dilemma. In the end I left it at home. I’ve been putting two layers of wicking shirts (one long sleeved and the other short sleeved) under my merino wool hoodie with my rain jacket doubled as a wind breaker on top, and I’ve been fine. I’m in Navarra now and it’s supposed to rain tomorrow but then clear up. For now, I don’t regret leaving puffy coat at home at all.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
I'm walking now. Started in Pamplona on 5/9 and am currently in Fromista. I packed very light. Most mornings, I start out with a long sleeve T, a thin sweater and my rain/wind shell. After a couple hours, I'm down to the T-shirt. The one day of rain, I also needed the rain poncho for about an hour. Days have been nice (cloud cover so not too warm) but we've gotten rain at nights so some stretches are muddy. I only have Hoka trail runners and they've been fine.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
Is it warm enough to layer under my poncho and leave the puffy coat at home? The forecast I'm seeing is 39 (3.8 C) degrees and rain when I walk out of SJPDP.
Yes, I think if you layer, you’ll be fine. It’s not particularly cold right now. I’m in Santiago and the sun is peeking through every now and then.

All the locals I have spoken with insist it’s been a crazy Spring with some days 80° and the next day in the 30s. A lot of people are sick. Walking the meseta, for me, was like walking in a chest freezer with wind.

Big stupid question: what if, in the middle of a stage, I realize I can't really walk anymore? For whatever reason, fatigue, pain, etc. How others have treated this? Are there buses usually...
