What is the most unusual thing you have seen on any Camino?

I guess these pilgrims had a tough night

A group of pilgrims walking the Camino with 14 dogs. Granon 2017.

Not as bad as you think. They were a charity raising awareness of abuse to dogs. They had a support van, so each dog only walked as far as it wanted each day. They slept in a huge tepee every night with a woodstove. They were wonderful, and so were the dogs. Everyone fell in love with them all and they were given many treats by locals and pilgrims alike. They stayed in the field part of the Granon albergue. I think they did 10 -15km a day. I was in doggy heaven!

I’ve seen similar in an outhouse in the Rockies. I was told it’s called a “two-holer.”

OK I don't have any pictures of what I saw and I was always wanted to ask the forum members but I didn't know how to ask (because of the nature of the question) , but since this question is being asked about unusual things seen, made me think about it so here it is: In 2017 we walked the Camino Sanabres and around day 3 (I think) we passed by an industrial park and then it went to a wooded area. My sister has an over active bladder and wanted to pee and we looked down and saw about 30 to 40 condoms all scattered about. Also earlier in the day we were walking and my mother in law was waiting for us leaning on a large pole when some car stopped and got out and started talking to her and since she doesn't speak spanish she has no idea what the guy was asking her. The guy left as soon as we appeared. We assumed that he was probably asking her if she was lost, but as soon as we crossed the road we saw lots of condoms scattered about. Then we all joked and told her that they were trying to pick her up. I thought this was all strange. Anyone else saw this walking the Sanabres?

Perhaps the oddest object I have seen on any camino is this large piece of "folk art" located on the Camino Portuges at Lugar San Amaro 6 on the N-550 between Pontevedra and A Portela.

The Gronze Camino Portugués guidebook does not mention this curious relic.

In Japan on the Shikoku 88 pilgrimage you pass through the small village of Nagoro which is almost entirely populated by life-like dolls. It's both bizarre and touching at the same time. They're placed on benches, in fields and etc just as ordinary people would be going about their business.
