Weather from Porto to Santiago in April?

My wife and I plan to hike from Porto to Santiago starting the beginning of April. Anyone have experience with the April weather in that area?

I walked last April and it varied between beautiful days and rainy days. Not any hard rain, but more sprinkles on and off all day. There was a lot of mud and puddles, but also glorious waterfalls. Was happy to have my Altus and goretex boots, as everything stayed dry.

(was only on the coast until Vila de Condo and then switched to the Central route, so that might have made for better weather for me)

Hello

I walked the coastal route from Porto to SDC in April 2019, It was the wettest of my 6 Caminos. When the weather was good it was a beautiful walk but on the days when the storms came in off the Atlantic the rain was of biblical proportions you needed to build an ark. The split between good and bad days was about two thirds good to one third bad. Hope this helps.

Walked the Portuguese Camino from Lisbon to Santiago last April 2nd and had gloriously warm sunny weather
(30° C) until entering Galicia and Santiago where it was cooler and rainy (mountainous region). It is Springtime so plan for both extremes. Bom Caminho

Thanks for these responses. My wife and I are looking at hiking from Porto to Santiago and then to Finisterre and Muxia, starting in April.
