Walking Ignaciano in early April

Hello, I’d like to walk the first 7 days of the Ignaciano April 5-12. I know Day 2 is a major climb. My question is - can I climb this with trail runners versus hiking boots? Just how gnarly is the trail? And might there be snow up there in early April? Thank you!

Walked that region before, but not that specific path. Crossed the mountains and such. I can say that trail runners were fine. However, snow is definitely possible during April

We walked from Loyola to Laguardia in June 2023 wearing trail runners with no issues. Snow might be a different story though. It's mostly a firm but not too stoney path with some muddy patches after the rain.. GPS recommended and pre-booked accommodation. This was an impressive report. I am looking at doing the Camino Baztan in May. Have you done that as well.
