Violent hail and rain storms in Spain

I saw some footage of a torrential downpour in Madrid. Lots of Spain has been affected. Looks like the weather system is moving eastward towards Valencia. Just crazy, Levante pilgrims pay attention!

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
No areas of major caminos are affected, so far, mostly Madrid area and the Valencia coastal areas.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
La Rioja had significant sized hail..

As a winemaker, hail is awful for grapes as it defoliates the vine (removes leaves) that aren't ready to harvest leaving you with a tough decision, pick underripe or wait and hope that without photosynthesis you can "ripen" a bit more. As a human, ouch. Hopefully vines, pimentos and humans are ok.

Some heavy rain in Barcelona, but nothing compared to the photos! Mind you, we did need the rain as it has generally been a dry summer.
