Hi,

I need to travel to Caminha from Santiago and trying to figure out the bet way to get there. Looks like there are no direct buses to Caminha but I can get a Alsa bus to Valenca from Santiago. Does anyone know if there is a local bus that might run between Valenca and Caminha?
If not I might just have to take a taxi, any idea on how much that might cost me? I think its about a 30K drive.
Appreciate the Feedback, Regards Brian

hi, there is a train from Valença to Caminha that leaves several times a day and is very inexpensive.
Less than €27 at 11pm (i.e. now) with Uber, possibly cheaper at a more reasonable hour:

hi there is a train from Balença to Vaminha several times a day; it’s quick and inexpensive. In May I took the bus from Santiago to Balença, spent the night, and caught a morning train to Caminha. Very easy! Buen camino! (sorry about typos to Valença:)

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

€83,-
Are you walking from Caminho to SdC? If so, why not start in A Guarda and skip the ferry. There is frequent bus service to A Guarda (and Tui also) from Vigo. You can find the schedule here...

There's bus and train service to Vigo from SdC. and direct from Madrid-Chamartin.

The coastal route is beautiful. Whichever way you go, have a buen Camino

Thanks for info. I've already walked that route before so this time I would like to head inland and come up through Tui. Regards Brian

Hello, Has anyone stayed in the Convent Monumento San Benito in A Guarda? It is pricey but looks interesting - worth a splurge?
