Travel from Pau to St.Jean

Can anyone suggest the simplest quickest cheapest way to get from the airport at Pau.
Ryanair flies into Pau, and I arrive on 24th August 1pm.

I read about from Biaritz, but only after I'd booked ro Pau :x

simplest and cheapest: walk, GR653 to Oloron, then GR78/Piemont route to St Jean. Alternatively continue on GR653 over the Somport

http://www.voyages-sncf.com/ will give you the price. TGV connections probably cost more than others. (Say you're in France, otherwise it'll either tell you the ticket can't be delivered or slap some large fee for postage on top.)

Pau to Puerta de Somport / Candanchu

Thanks Peter the train to St. Jean would cost €19.70.

I' m tempted to walk from Somport - if I can get transport from Pau to Somport. In this case, could you suggest please? :?

same: train/bus Pau-Oloron-Canfranc
(though if I were you, I would walk - the airport's only 4-5km from the Somport route at Lescar, then it's 3-4 days walk to the Somport)
