Hi my flight arrives in Madrid T1 on Friday 19th July at 19.35 and trying to get the train to Leon from Chamartin Clara Camp station which leaves at 20.24. What's the chance of making the connection? Is the connection time too short? TYIA

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I’m sorry but you have no chance whatever of making that connection unless you can teleport. Flight landing times are “wheels on ground” not through the gate, border control, and any necessary transit between terminals.
In your circumstances I think I’d be planning a night in Madrid somewhere close to Chamartin and an early train next day

Buena suerte

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

Yes I thought as much. Thank you for your reply

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
Take the bus.
I don't think the bus leaves at a compatible time, but it could be. (You should check.) 4 hours about in travel time, you can sleep in the seat. ;)
We arrived in the morning and took the midday bus. It's an express, there was only one stop.

Just flew in this morning to Madrid and even though I only had a two minute wait at immigration and carried my pack on the plane to avoid waiting for baggage that hoof from terminal one to the metro is time consuming. I'm staying fairly close to Charmitin and will meet my hiking partner at the station to grab the 0940 train tomorrow to Leon. I find that a day in Madrid helps beat back some of the jetlag incurred coming from the US.

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
It takes 45 minutes by bus to get to the station. Plus the time you wait outside for the bus
i live in madrid. traffic can be bad, especially on the A2 (interstate that takes you into town from the airport).
