The Happy Heretic returns: (Part 1?)

It seems that the Black Lamb has been allowed back into the Fold provided, of course, she follows the Rules and the rest of the sheep.
Well, we´ll see, won`t we Dear Moderators?
I only want to say one thing anyway: thank you to those of you who supported me recently and I would like you all to know that The Little Fox Christmas Dilemma has been solved and in the most beautiful way. The post concerning my predicament has been locked for reasons I still cannot fathom so this is the only chance I have to respond. Hopefully, if you and I behave, this one won´t meet the same fate.
A recent pilgrim from Denmark (in love with Camino life) has paid out of his few savings for his mom to come and spend Christmas with him in Carantoña so that I can spend it with my little family in Malaga. This is a HUGE relief to me, not only because The Little Fox House needs warmth and company at all times (and thank you to the 75 people who have come here since May and loved the chance to chill before re-entry); but most importantly my cats and especially Bunkle, 16 years old and quite ill for two months now, will have someone caring and competent to look after them.
And to the rest of you I hope that we shall meet sometime soon.
I shall restrict my comments considerably from here on as I am writing another book about a hermit named Manfred Gnädinger. You might like to try to Google him. A sad but remarkable story which up to nos remains untold in English.
(PS: Ivar suggested that I should PM each of those of you who have been kind enough to respond to my post concerning my predicament but I am sure that he and you will prefer to be notified in this more public way. Thank you to the many members who were kind enough to contact me personally)
Boas Festas....!!!

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Slightly O/T: Just on the subject of the PM facility on this website, I'd like to vote a special thanks to Ivar for providing it. The private communications through this board have been as valuable to me as the open ones, and have given me complete flexibility with no loss of privacy.

What a great free service this is!

So glad you have returned to the forum. I love heretics!

- and especially you, who in a personal PM encouraged me to go! – A thing I will never forget you for!

Glad to see you back, Tracy!
Merry Christmas!
Blessed Yule!
Happy Hannukah!

HOORAY!

I appreciate diversity of thought and I also enjoy rules. More importantly, I enjoy people who are wise enough to acknowledge the rules and adult enough not to feel compelled to stretch self-compliance to the point of entering the absurd. A community is developed when we all are able to get along and feel committed to one another and to what we care about. Every one of us that have been on the board for several years knows the rules and not one of us needs to abuse the rules. If I abuse the rules I acknowledge that I should bear the consequences. Pris, you know the bloody rules; quit trying to abuse them. You are valued here, we appreciate your view point, but we also want to put this sad chapter behind us without any further need to discuss it. Pris is welcome, personal businesses must be left for personal blogs. Let's move on.

Just one SMALL point Michael since you seem to come rather late to the discussion: In what way EXACTLY did my asking for a pilgrim or pilgrim (whether on the road at Christmas or otherwise) to take advantage of my absence by coming to stay at The Little Fox House - to care for my cats and allow me to see my family - "abuse the bloody rules"? The post was removed in a fit of pique by Ivar who didn´t even read it, so clouded is the judgement against me for "advertising my business". I have offered now to three members, who have objected in like manner and who live close by, to come and see for themselves what I am trying to do here. Two did not even have the decency to reply. The other is "too busy". I am an hour and a quarter from Santiago.

Since the thread in question was removed I felt I had the right to know why. I posted here accordingly. That thread has now been locked. I challenge anyone to find anything there which says that rules were broken...unless that means the hornet´s nest it did stir up from those many members who were as bemused as I was as its locking.

I had no other choice but to post my thanksto all here as I have found someone who will be enjoying a wonderful Christmas (with his mother whom he hasn´t seen for months: the flight is a Christmas present to her) here at The little Fox. Now I can leave in peace.

Quote: " You are valued here, .."
Yes, I know.
Happy Christmas, everyone.

PS: Chapter closed I hope. The above questions are actually rhetorical, MichaelB.
By all means, lock this thread now...
