I wanted to bring this relatively new Way to the members attention. I walked this in the summer with a companion who was undertaking her first pilgrimage. It covers some rugged coastline, two existing pilgrimage routes and ends at St Michaels Mount. Almost uniquely for a British mainland route, it is supported by a network of places to stay in churches and church halls at low prices, making it affordable, or at least, not extortionate. This link to the website should give you all the information you need.

If you are UK based, have walked the Camino and want a short burst of the experience, walk this way

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
Hi Dick. I've just bought the guide book and plan to walk the route in Spring next year. I'd be interested to hear more about the logistics of the accommodation.

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 16-19
You should have received it with the guide. Did you get it from the ccw website?
If you e mail them they will also email you the list.
In. Practical terms you can ignore the 14 or 7 days notice stuff on the accommodation list. Everyone was. Very relaxed about me ringing the night before. We live local but still booked in to the priory the night before to get the atmosphere from the start. Monday and Tuesday night the lical pub does a brilliant community 2 course meal for £3.50. Highly recommend it.

Thanks Dick. Yes I got the paper copy of the accommodation list. Thanks for the tip about getting an electronic copy (saves me scanning it!).

Useful to know about the notice period. Was the accommodation busy?

Ideal pocket guides for during & after your Camino. Each weighs only 1.4 oz (40g)!
Nope

Today's I went to Lansallos church to do some sketching. Since our scribble in the visitors book in early mid June there have been 5 other pilgrim's. All the hosts will be delighted to see you and all were very friendly. Recommend you stop at Ludgvan which is 1.5 miles from the mount where you will be met by the guides author and his wife, Penny

Thanks Dick. Really useful info. I know parts of Cornwall well from diving trips, but am looking forward to seeing it at a more leisurely pace.

Very interesting! Thank you for the link. It is a walk, I would love to do.

Oh fantastic! This is on my list as well but with the caveat that I need to understand how slowly or quickly I can walk in order to get the accommodation dialled and booked in advance. I’m so excited to do this, would love to hear how you found it

If you look at the guide it is broken down into 4 to 6 mile legs most of which end at accom which can basic. You need a sleeping mat for all the places you stay. I have a good one, blow up, got it off Facebook for about 30 quid
