Still hot in Spain at 14.00 august 18

A selection of Camino Jewellery
Probably little comfort to you to know it but about this time last year Spain was experiencing near-record high temperatures well over 40C in much of the country. With two deaths of pilgrims from heat-related causes in one week. Look after yourself. Be realistic in your plans. And make sure you have plenty of water.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
In Spain, the hottest time of the day is generally from 1300 to 1800. In many other parts of the Northern Hemisphere, peak temperatures are from 1000 to 1500.

At least this is the daily pattern I observe when I am there for a month in July & August each year. Get the free app Eltiempo.es+. This is the Spanish Meteorological Office.

Hope this helps.

To cool you down a wee bit.......Northern BC Canada weather...........

"Snowfall warnings were still in effect early Monday, with up to 30 cm of snow expected for some by the time the system wraps up through the day.

"Travel is not recommended," warned Environment Canada. "Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow."
