Statistical data from the Oficina website

Does anyone know if the statistical data (age, nationality, route, etc.) collected by the Pilgrims office is available somewhere other than the website? It's nice that it's available in a web format with some basic filters but if one wanted to dig deeper into the numbers is there any other tabular data format that's readily available somewhere that can be used/viewed/manipulated?

Thanks

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
There was an API before they changed to that awful Microsoft product. I am not sure if the API is still running.

I found it by digging around the website. If it is still there then look and you will find it.

There is also a guy with data presentation experience who scrapes the daily figures and accumulates them into something useful. Not sure of his URL and I am busy at the moment.

The Mods apply tags to posts, if you look back through the Statistics tagged posts you will find a reference to his site.

I have all the historical data downloaded via the API and I was doing a project with a Data Scientist to get more useful information but I gave up when the Pilgrims Office went to the new website format.

I also tried, sometimes successfully, to gather data from other sources but most people are very protective of THEIR data, unfortunately. I don't understand this attitude but they hold the data and so they decide.

I am happy to share my historical data with you, it is mostly held in R tables. However I am on Camino in Spain until the end of August and the data is in Aotearoa New Zealand.

If you are interested send me a PM and once I get home I will be happy to help.

Thanks for the info, I'll clank around the website and and see if I can find something. The guy with the daily scrape sounds like the sort of thing I'd be interested in as well, will try to find his url.

I may circle back to your historical data depending on what I can find, I appreciate the offer.

Thanks again and Buen Camino

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.

If you are referring to Diego Romero, this is his website, but I am not sure it's updated since they changed it to Microsoft format

Thanks very much! Looks like it's still updated, there's daily arrival numbers for 13 June '23.

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.

He had a small break when the Pilgrim Office website changed and until I told him that his scrape had stopped working.

Not sure how he resolved the break if at all.
