So like where do draft messages go?

I tried to write a message but I couldn't attach the file I wanted to. Next I "saved to drafts" to give me some time figure out to how to attach the file. Now I can't find my drafts. Where are they?

If I haven't posted a reply, and I close the browser window, I find the draft message in the entry box when I return. Even when editing, I will refresh my browser if I have 'lost' some text. Sometimes works, sometimes not. I presume that the forum application software regularly saves your entry onto the server, but only releases it to the public when you post the reply.

Really? I have never seen (or noticed) that option on the forum.

The forum seems to save drafts of the last message you were writing, but for a limited time.

But I think that possibly it's just meant to be temporary, as we don't have a "drafts" folder in our accounts.

Maybe @ivar can shed some light on this.

If I draft a message and wait, and later decide, no, I do not need to post this, I use that option (above, by trecile) and delete the draft. It saves my neck from many tomatoes

Xenforo, the supplier of this forum's software, has a forum for itself. There's a thread there about drafts that gives some information but not particularly useful information.

XF 2.3 - Drafts how to?

Is there an actual save draft function? I was sure I saw something now I’m not sure and can’t find anything in the manual.
