Hello @Silvermomma

In 2018, as part of a much longer walk, we started in Hendaye, just over the bridge from Irun. We didn't always follow the Camino arrows, took quite a few alternatives, as you will find on this forum, in particular some amazing cliff walks. We also strayed from the Norte in places, for example dipping down to Oviedo.
These are our stages, with an average of just over 15km (yes, we are slow walkers ;) ):

Buen Camino!
Wow that is great, can you advise if there are municipal albergues in all those towns. I am walking the French way next year from Burgos, and was going to finish with that, but now I am inspired.

We stayed mostly in private accommodation, as my wife was recovering from cancer.
At the time, there were many albergues, not all municipal, some in convents, and some run privately.
Since we walked in 2018, things may have changed, so it might be best to check with Gronze which albergues are still open.

There are not municipal albergues in all of those towns. The pilgrim infrastructure on the Norte is nowhere near as robust as on the Francés. You can check Gronze for albergues and other accommodations.

And this resource shows donativo albergues on the Norte.
