Too many and too often!
Several Spanish news websites have reported on the opening today of a centre dedicated to the history of the Sephardic Jewish communities in Spain. The building is in Castrillo Mota de Judios - about 4km north-west of Castrojeriz. A place settled by Jewish people expelled from Castrojeriz in the 14th century. Archaeological work is continuing to uncover elements of the village's Jewish history. The place became internationally famous in 2015 when the community voted to change its name from the controversial "Castrillo Matajudíos" to its current form.

On Rosh Hashanah I found myself in Burgos, eating dinner with Camimo-friends I'd met in SJPdP. We had lots of sweets for dessert and I explained the Rosh Hashanah tradition. And the next morning, not far from Burgos, I passed a beautiful life-sized piece of metal art of a Pilgrim painted in rainbow colors, confirming my belief that ALL should not only BE, but also FEEL welcome on the Camino.
