Hi everyone,
I am packed and ready to get walking on my first camino from Ourense to Santiago. I will be walking from Ourense to Cea on Thurdsday which is a feast day so a lot of places will be closed. Will getting a sello be very difficult on a holy day /public holiday? Can anyone give me suggestions where to get one as I would like a certificate at the end.
Super excited (and unbelievably nervous) to get started!

I have noticed that many places on the Camino Frances have little booths, even located outside in the open for you to get a stamp. Do remember that the idea is to show proof where you have been. Algergues, museums, bars, stores of all types, gasoline stations are places where you can obtain stamps on your passport. Many bars/ mini supermarkets are open on holy days.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Thanks for all the suggestions! These are great!

From Ourense to Cea there are two possible routes and it's true that there isn't much in the way of bars or shops along either of them. Maybe you could get a stamp before leaving Ourense and another one in Cea, besides the ones you got from your accommodation. That should be plenty. If they question you in the Pilgrims office just tell them it was a public holiday and you didn't see anything open. As long as you have two stamps a date for the rest of the route you should be fine.
