Santiago packed this weekend - recommend booking ahead

Hi everyone,
Due to the O Son do Camiño music festival at Monte de Gozo today through Saturday, accommodations in Santiago are very full and very expensive. Pilgrims arriving today have already been having a hard time finding something if they haven't booked ahead. Trains to Madrid are also filling up for the weekend. And taxis in Finisterre and Muxía are being called to Santiago to help shuttle people to and from the festival.

So if you have a chance, and you're arriving in town this weekend, please do book your lodging and any trains ahead of time. Or, if you can avoid arriving in Santiago this weekend, I'd recommend you walk into town next week for a nicer, less chaotic and less crowded welcome. :)

And if you were planning to sleep in Monte de Gozo, please be prepared for lots of people and lots of noise - the last acts of each evening start in the 2am hour!

Buen Camino!

Hello, I'm not doing the Camino (yet), so I don't know if this question fits in this forum... But I'm looking for advice and I think this is the best place. I'm planning a three or four days trip...
I haven't done a live feed on this last section of my camino from home in Ireland which I started back in 2021 - but quire excited to reach SdeC tomorrow on 6th June!
