They say they have gluten free stuff(pizza, pastas) as well as vegan and vegetarian. Thinking of making a reservation for tomorrow for a group.

A guide to speaking Spanish on the Camino - enrich your pilgrim experience.
The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
I remember walking past that one and considering it for dinner, but then I ended up somewhere else by chance. Not for any specific reason. But if you happen to eat there, share your experience as it might come in handy the next time I am in Santiago. :)

If you're looking for gluten-free food in Santiago, Sinduena's entire menu is gluten-free. It's also a beer bar with a large selection of gluten-free beers!

Thanks, we don't need entirely gluten-free. Only one person in the group. They did have gluten-free breakfast choices here at San Martin Pinario.

I walked past the place in 2022, and I have to say that from my perspective (I live about 17K from Italy), it looked completely fake.

Don't know what the food is like, maybe it's great, but generally speaking, in Italy if a place looks like that, sensible Italians avoid it. And "gluten-free" sounds perfectly bizarre for Italian cuisine IMO ...

There are a couple of decent ordinary bars on that street, with simple pinchos/tapas and where they still respect you as such if you're a pilgrim (else give you an honest dirty look).

Of course, it's not that easy to find somewhere "normal" to eat out in Santiago, last time I just got stuff from the supermarket, and at least that restaurant is located in the right direction and part of town to find somewhere simple as far as I could tell.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
It was very good. Everyone was happy and the owner was careful to note who had allergies. Our gluten allergic pilgrim had ravioli and was thrilled. She could have had pizza, pasta, bread, etc. She a Nutella on bread dessert.

The whole group recommends it.
Thank you . Good to know :)

I'll add it to the list. Thanks for sharing.

Very light, comfortable and compressible poncho. Specially designed for protection against water for any activity.

Our Atmospheric H30 poncho offers lightness and waterproofness. Easily compressible and made with our Waterproof fabric, its heat-sealed interior seams guarantee its waterproofness. Includes carrying bag.

Unless you’re a junk food addict, Nutella on bread dessert is not a very enticing prospect.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
I haven't been to that specific spot in Santiago, but I love discovering new. If you're into exploring more great eats, mklibrary.com has a cool Guide to the Best Sacramento Restaurants. It might not be Santiago, but who knows, you might find a gem for your next culinary adventure!
