Sang your freedom

William Garza

Veteran Member
Time of past OR future Camino
Camino Frances, The Jakobsweg
And she smiled and the sun rose with her
She spoke word into the wind and the limb and leaf lifted
Across the falling valleys you could hear her sing
The tall grass waves to and fro, her song moving them before touching the trees
Ontoward the fluffy clouds passing by

They carry her song out beyond tjis horizon into the next

And she sang a song of Freedom...

Pilgrim sitting before hearth and home
Deep within your cups
You remember that song..dont you
Your dusty boots sitting between you here..and there
Echos ring in your mind so loud that rain falls from your inner skys.

Maybe its time to remember your freedom..
Off you go Pilgrim

Probably completely mad but for some reason your poem makes me thinks of the cuckoo’s song. We do have cuckoos in Australia but not the European one. Ours sing a very different song. I had never heard a European cuckoo apart from the sound made by a cuckoo clock and the song in the Sound Of Music. I couldn’t believe my ears when I heard a real live European cuckoo. Her song of freedom will forever sing my spring camino.

I had never heard a real cuckoo bird before I went to Spain!
