In May I'll walk the VDLP from Salamanca. I was considering that following that maybe walk the Frances in reverse, so to speak, from SDC to SJPDP, having walked it already four times the other way. An older poor back would benefit from transferring most of my pack daily but am unsure if this is possible to do. Seems logically possible. Any insights?

Prepare for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island, Oct 27 to Nov 2
Correos offers a service where you can send you bag for collection at another post office.. it's not available everywhere, it's not cheap, and it takes 24-48 hours before you can retrieve your paq at a post office.

Not a runner.

Maybe local taxis?

I did a reverse to Porto via the coast route from Santiago and it was difficult to get everyday transfers, I walked less daily 18 klms and managed to establish a connection with various taxi drivers via hostel hosts and other taxi drivers, I got phone numbers going ahead over say 100 klm radius and that worked out OK but not everyday, was about 8-10 euro each trip

I have done the Camino Frances (in parts of 40-60 %) four times.
I just did the Camino Portuguese and wish I had done it sooner!! I loved it. On days that I gave my back a rest, I used Top Santiago and they were even better than what I used on the Camino Frances.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Sounds great, but @Steven F. Is looking for luggage transport on the Camino Francés in reverse.

I’ve walked from SDC in reverse in mid-winter. In mid-summer you will need to carry half that weight. After the VdlP you will be carrying the absolute minimum anyway, so probably no need for baggage transfer on the CF . . .

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
