Rest Day in Vigo

I'm doing a rest day in Vigo (2 nights). I know it's a more industrial city, and I'm not trying to fill all my time there. But curious about whether anyone has any recommendations for things to do in Vigo? My research hasn't yielded much. (The reality is I may stay in bed all day! :) )

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
All I know of the place is that the city impressed a friend of mine and his wife enough , so that after their three Portuguese Caminos they returned there for their main holiday for a couple of years after. They being out and about folk as against sitting by the pool types I take it those places of interest must be there somewhere.
Hope your Camino goes well.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).
I enjoyed my rest day in Vigo! If you're interested in art, a place to visit is MARCO (Museum of Contemporary Art). They have a lovely cafe there too. The old town area of Vigo (Casco Vello) is a great place to stroll around for it's shops, restaurants and architecture. Vigo also has some wonderful public art - especially by the sculptor Francisco Leiro.

Take the passenger ferry over to the towns across the harbor. It's cheap (3 euros?) and a nice ride and harbor tour. The ticket office is easy to find on the docks.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
Are you walking the coastal? Through Baiona?

I like Vigo a lot. I always end up doing a lot of walking when I'm there - not ideal for a rest day!

I second @mikebet 's suggestion of the little boat trip from the harbour.

You might also consider a day trip to the beautiful Islas Cies. When I visited a few years ago, I bought the ticket and visitor permit from a booth at the harbour.
The permit can also be bought online here.

Buen Camino!

My daughter was there a few years ago and told me I had to go to Mesón Compostela where she had "the best scallops and calamari of her life". OK, she was only 20, but still... Total foodie.

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc

I tried to get a ticket to the Cies Islandsd, but they only allow a very limited # of people there a day, and unfortunately are full when I'm there. But I love the idea of a boat trip.
