Buenos dios, fellow pilgrims!

I am an insulin-dependent diabetic and must carry with me my insulin, needles and test strips.

For those of you who have walked the camino with this condition, can you share how you disposed of used needles, test strips, etc.?

At home I have a sharps box and can take it to my doctor's office to dispose of when fill. I don't think I can carry a sharps box with me - too bulky.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and buen camino!

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
A 16-20 oz. plastic coke bottle till you can dispose of them, they're a lot thicker than the 500ml water bottles.

Hola

Although I am not a diabetic and have the personal experience, I think farmacias will accept medical waste.
Many other European countries does that.

Ideal pocket guides for during and after your Camino. Each weighs just 40g (1.4 oz).
Thanks, Bajaracer and lettinggo, those are great ideas! I'm just trying to be a responsible and polite peregrina.
