Yes, you always immediately know you are looking at the cathedral in Astorga when you see the two very distinctive colors of its towers.View attachment 96297
La Catedral de Santa María de Astorga, which gracefully combines a rather eclectic mix of styles.
I got an interim response, re location, but I think you have already managed to pinpoint it. My friend sent a link to a blog, https://thefogwatch.com/villafranca-del-bierzo-camino-angel/That's a great idea ! Thanks for your persévérance.

I loved that well preserved stone village!View attachment 96410
An early morning stroll through Castrillo de Polvazares, a Maragato village lined with traditional stone buildings. Well worth a little diversion on the way from Murias de Rechivaldo.
Oh man, you should be so lucky. The photo of the hill in green everyone here is thinking of (now a vineyard) is considered the most viewed photo in the world. The Wikipedia article on the photo indicated that it sold with the second highest price ever for a photograph. It is an interesting article; at least read the "History" section.I'm sure this could be a Microsoft screen saver... you know, except for the cemetery in the middle of it

May the intensity of these flames
always endure
When I was there in 2019, there were still a number of real candles in use. See my post #786 on Page 8 of this thread for a nice photo of the sunlight through the haze of candle smoke.I wonder if O Cebreiro still has real candles or whether they have gone electric. In my 20 years on caminos, I have seen the number of churches with real candles shrink dramatically. I understand the “why” of it, but it is simply not the same.
Thank you for posting this very wonderful, magical photo.

I loved my first visit to this bar, spent far too long pouring over the various notes. However, was quite sad to see them all gone in 2016 after specifically taking my wife in to see it. Thank god for photos and memories...View attachment 96853
