Time of past OR future Camino
I am walking in March and April of 2019.
Hello dear group
I am leaving for Madrid on November 9th for 6 weeks in Spain. My original plan was to walk the Frances...again....i would like to explore other routes but i assume no other routes have enough stuff open. Am i wrong? Te first 3 weeks i am commited to the North as a girlfriend is coming along, but my husband decided to join me for the last 3 weeks and we would love to walk in the south. We dont have to get to Santiago, we just want to walk. And have enough albergues or hostels or hotels open to sleep every night. Any suggestions?

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
When we walked part of the Norte in mid-October 2021, many of the albergues had planned closures for November/December. Definitely check Gronze or a similar up-to-date site to see your options, especially in these continuing Covid times - past pilgrim experiences may not be accurate anymore.

Norte is still north...we are looking for a southern, more sunny route.

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I was referring to your mention of the first few weeks of walking in the north - my apologies for the confusion

Prepare for kind of weather. There is never a guarantee of sunny walks. Especially any were there are mountains north or south.

The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
The walks from the South in November will find a scarcity of albergues. The weather during that time of the year will be hit or miss whichever camino you decide to walk. I use Gronze to check up on open and closed albergues. I have been told that the Camino Ninja app is also a good source.

We walked the Madrid in late October, mid November of 2019 and it soured are desire to walk that late in the year. Places to stay were scarce and markets even worse. Now we've not walked the CF pre COVID but....

Best of luck and Buen Camino.

Ok yes your reply has convinced me...stay on the CF. That one i know well in Winter. I love it.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
