Beautiful route to travel by car. But that's a long way from the route by foot across the Pyrenees.

Indeed. I chose to post this because the link is with Napoleon Bonaparte in another area other than the one in the Pyrenees.

For more on the Pyrenees route which developed during The Pennisular War see this earlier post.

The route described in the Silkox article was followed by Bonaparte during what is known in French history as The Hundred Days.
