Arrived Oviedo today from Pola de Siero, ready for lunch and decided to try a menu del dia. The first course was rice with braised pork cheeks, then out came the baked beef ribs and fries. Either course would be a generous lunch. I passed on the bread and the dessert pastry. This was a lot of food, all delicious, 13 euro! If you’re looking for great food in Oviedo and plenty of it, I recommend Taberna Asturiana, a short walk from the Cathedral. I’m sure there are many others. This was the first place I saw and just went in. First two days from Villaviciosa were great. Got rained on a little today.
