The Asociación Jacobea de Almería-Granada updates this PDF guide regularly, and is the most up to date guide. If you prefer a paper edition, you could print this. Most importantly, some Camino stages in Extremadura have changed. The Asociación Jacobea de Badajoz has been very active, and have way marked new stages to avoid dangerous road walking:
1.- Ermita de la Alcantarilla to Monterrubio de la Serena. Avoids a long stretch of road
2.- Magacela to La Haba. Follows "La Senda del rey" and not the road.
3.- Don Benito to Medellín. Avoids a dangerous road, plus a bridge
4.- Medellín to San pedro de Mérida: if the río Búrdalo is not high, there is a ford which avoids the very dangerous approach to Torrefresneda. The Asociación Jacobea de Badajoz are building a foot bridge over the Búrdalo.
¡Buen Camino!
