How exciting! As home (East Anglia) to Santiago cyclists ourselves (but in stages - boo-hoo) we would love to know your route and to follow your progress.

If you are going to Harwich and would like a free bed for a night near Ely, we would be only to happy to welcome you! We could rustle up a spanish omelette!

Do let us know if we can be of any help - we went Harwich to Holland, down to Bruges (North Sea cycle route) across Belgium on canal and riverside paths via Ghent, Tournai, Mons, Namur, south into France to Reims, Chalons, Vitry, Near Troyes, Chaource, Tonnere, Vezelay, Bourges, Limoges. Thats as far as we have got, so far!

Bon chemin!
(Gud pilgrimspad ??)

Your Camino sounds idyllic, don't worry about age or the suspect knee. You are already experiencing the friendship of fellow pilgrims with Bridget & Peter's offer. Enjoy all the Camino has to offer. Look forward to a report on your return.

Buen Camino
Cheers Rose Louise

Well done. Time now to sit back and soak up all those wonderful memories of experiences along the way.

Good to hear that you made it; what a fantastic trip!!! I am particularly glad to hear that you were successful even with a bum knee amongst you. I plan on walking the Camino Frances in June of 2010 and only staying in shape now. My knees have been a real bear lately, which is unusual given that I have not ever experienced knee problems in the past. I just went to the doctor this past Thursday only to find out that my left knee is bone-on-bone and that was the culprit for the recent pain I was having. Not interested just yet in replacing the knee, so we will explore other alternatives. Started with a cortisone shot and hope that does enough so that I can exercise and move about without too much limping.

Thank you for letting us know you arrived and may God continue to bless you and may your Camino never end.

Mike
