Time of past OR future Camino
Ferrol to Santiago October 2022
I’m looking for suggestions for a 6/7 day walking stage on the Frances that I can do next year with my older less fit companion.
We’ve done the stages from Sarria, Ferrol & Tui in recent years.
It can’t be too challenging with lots of hills or steep inclines.

Thanks 🙏

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Totally agree with CWBuff. Walk out of Burgos and it is totally flat until you hit the hill on the west side of Castrojeriz, it is just one long, steady climb and then back to flat again. Some really great places to stay and even better restaurants along the way.

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Thats me doing a "Meseta crawl" (not to be confused with the "Tapas crawl" - that happens roughly 150 km before Burgos 😁)
9 days at appr. 18km/day average.... don't think it can get any easier

(Hmmm... dont really like this "general" average - does nto look right to me...
I got 4 days over 20KM that averages to about 22.4km/day
then its 5 days of under 20KM - 18.5 km/d
a little better I guess)

For those who are not familiar with Godesalco - 3rd column is distance per stage and 4th is cumulative (0 being SJPdP)

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
The focus is on reducing the risk of failure through being well prepared. 2nd ed.
