Luggage transfer on the Aragones

We are planning to walk from Lourdes to Pamplona late May. As my husband has issues with his back, I am trying to find out if there is a company that does luggage transfers on this route. I woud like to have the details of such a service handy just in case he might need it. So far I have had no luck - can anyone here perhaps help? Thank you!

Last year, the only place on the Camino Aragones that I saw an advertisement for luggage transfer was in the bar at Santa Cilia. I remember it because it was so odd and out of place given the lack of pilgrims to support such an endeavor. My guess is that it was either out-of-date or misplaced onto the CA vs. the CF.

Given we start the CA tomorrow and then onto the Piedmont Route to Lourdes, I’ll keep an eye out for you to see if there are any posted notices this year.

https://www.amawalkerscamino.com/ organizes small group walks on that very route, which include bag transport. You might inquire of them.

BTW - I can recommend their small-group walks without reservation.

Check elcaminoconcorreos.com. Last fall I walked the Aragones with a woman who had her pack transported at least part of the way by correos. This would work only in Spain. I would wonder if the French postal system has a similar service.

In Sanguesa now (5€ muni!). They have the standard luggage transport form that I also saw in Santa Cilia, so it’s possible that it exists the entire CA! I’d email the address in the photo to get the correct info, though. (Google translate if your español es no bueno like mine!

Albergue in Santa Cilia had two separate luggage transport signs - one by taxi, one by mail.

BTW, the Santa Cilia albergue was very nice and the meal superb!

I did not use it. Before making plans around their service, definitely contact them. Traffic there is so sporadic there that I wonder if it’s still in business.

I have just booked and paid for baggage transfer with paqmochila@correos.com on this route. I am very impressed that my emails were responded to on the weekend. Note that they do not do transfers on the weekends

Just now back from Spain -- a rather unsatisfactory Camino Ingles. Wish I'd known you were doing the Aragonese. this year Would have enjoyed walking it with you again! Godspeed! (Don't break anything!)

I had hoped to go this year. My visa application says the English Camino. I followed the English Camino but decided, based on the comments, that it was not for me now.
When I found out that there was baggage transfer on the Aragones I decided to pluck up courage and do it. The baggage transfer is very very expensive but ...

• From Santa Cilia to Sangüesa with four stages, €50 per backpack.
• From Tiebas to Puente la Reina with one stage, €25 per backpack.

I will have to carry it some stages which are over weekends. I will use a taxi if necessary.
I only decided on this route last week. Sorry I did not tell you.
I will have to look after my body very carefully with the bad bones and being lob-sided after the break (2.1 cm shorter in the one leg). I started wearing new shoes this week, shoes which are not worn down in any area which may influence my gait, my knees and spine.

You (or one of your minigroup, that will save fares) transport your luggage day by day to the next accomodation and return for a luggageless hike.
From Oloron a public bus service goes to Urdos/Canfranc several times per day.
