Are there any services in Sarria to transport luggage to Portomarin in the afternoon --after we get off bus?

...and ship it to Santiago for storage. You pick it up once in Santiago. Service offered by Casa Ivar (we use DHL for transportation).

Are you planning to walk that day or the next. If you spend the night in Sarria, you can arrange it at your place of rest and pickup up is normally in the morning. For afternoon, you may have to engage a taxi to take it for you.

Thank you--I assume taxis are trustworthy

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

I have no hesitation using taxis in Spain. However, you are asking for a service that is a bit different from carrying you to a destination - so you need to be sure that you give very clear instructions and have confirmed with the accommodation that the arrangement is OK for them. Don't expect the taxi driver to figure things out for you. I would suggest you contact one of the luggage transfer services and ask for their suggestions.
