I am home now. On a return flight aboard the Iberian Airlines, I was given a salt and pepper shaker shaped like "Las Meniñas". Delighted and excited, I immediately held the "salt Meniña" by her waist and tried to twist open it but nothing happened. Then I held her head and did the same...well, I ended up breaking her neck. I later learned that I was supposed to just pull it apart. Thanks to the salt-Meniña's misfortune, the pepper-Meniña narrowly escaped the terrible faith, but still very guilt-driven, I showed the disastrous remains to a flight attendant. The attendant assured me that he would find another one for me and he did. I told him how delighted I was to see them. I don't know what he told the other crews but soon others started bringing me more. Soon, I ended up with so many! How lovely their thoughts are! This is the same kind of lovely Spanish hospitality I encounter on my Camino and one of the reasons why I keep going back to Spain. ¡Graciñas!---"a super-polite thank you" in Galego according to Rick Steves. By the way, the Chicago Tribune, on 10/22/23, had an article about O Cebreiro titled "Hamlet evokes Spain at its rustic best".
