Lost & Found Lost Credential at Iglesia de San Andrés de Cedeira, 20-30 minutes outside Redondela

I lost my Pilgrim Passport (Credential) at Iglesia de San Andrés de Cedeira just about 20-30 minutes outside Redondela today. There was an area you could add your stamps and I must have turned away and left it. I realized what happened in a cafe in Redondela and returned by taxi to get it, but it was no longer there. If any kind soul found it and picked it up, please contact me here or using the contact information in the passport. One stamp is the Parador de Baiona. I will continue either way but such a shame to lose it exactly as I pass into <100km territory.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Have you been able to get a new credential?
My understanding is it is too late as Vigo is 101 km from Santiago. I left there, lost it, and I’m in Redondela now. I considered taxi-ing back to Vigo but there’s no chance the cathedral will be open at this hour. If I cannot find my lost credential I won’t be able to get the Certificate at the end.

There's a chance that you would be able to plead your case by showing photos that you have taken on your phone for the stages before you lost your credential. I would definitely try to get a new one and get as many stamps as you can. I would try the municipal albergue to see if they have them.

Just get anything you’ve got stamped and go from there. Affix whatever you’ve got to an actual credenciale whenever you get one.

I really appreciate the advice! I thought there was no chance. I have procured a new credential and have two stamps for today now. I bought it from Albergue Parroquial Santiago Apóstol de Redondela. They were very nice to help me a bit late in the day.

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
I should have considered this too . And if you have a paper guidebook with empty pages ( Brierley books had/ have those ) or a A4 piece of paper ( ask around to somebody) of similar put the stamps there from the rest of your journey
And show your pictures at the desk. You are too early but if.. I am volunteering in September coming 🙃 Good luck and bom caminho

Maybe la Refúxio de la Jerezana albergue in Cessantes will have new credentials available 3 kms from Redondela in the direction of Pontevedra. At the big crossing of the N550 upon arriving there turn to the right and follow the N550 about 150 meters and the albergue is at your right. Ask Maria. She is the owner for a crendential or an A4 wíth a stamp of her albergue. That will be your first then
Thank you for the kind advice as well! I procured a new credential from Albergue Parroquial Santiago Apóstol de Redondela. I guess I’m not the first person to have lost one.

Good thinking! I was able to get a new credential this evening, but this would have been a reasonable fall back.

Hi, in future remember to write your mobile phone number on your credential.

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.

It’s always good to fill in the information in the front, which I did. No one has reached out to me about mine, but I’m sure others have been reunited with their lost pilgrim credentials thanks to that info.

I just wanted to do a follow up post for anyone who finds this in the future. I was able to get the Camino Compostela certificate and mileage certificate with absolutely no issues once I reached the Pilgrim's office. I was ready to share my itinerary, fitbit data, and photos as back up that I started in Porto and just lost my first pilgrim passport, and there was no need. If you lose your pilgrim passport, just do as others recommended in this thread and stamp whatever you can until you can get a replacement credential to stamp. I found a replacement credential at the local municipal albergue when I discovered mine was lost.
