I have already begun my Jan’s
Camino de Santiago blog and am planning my pilgrimage beginning May 7th and ending July 4th, 2013. I am taking the
Camino Frances beginning in St. Jean Pied de Port. I am sharing my preparations for the journey: physical, material, and spiritual, then my travel from the USA to the starting point of St. Jean Pied de Port, France, followed by my daily adventures and the stories of the people I meet on the Camino. Take my hand and walk with me as I share, with some of the more technical aspects of the journey, my most personal thoughts and experiences along the way.

Beginning May 7th, my blog will catch fire as my pilgrimage begins and I blog while on the road. Thanks to my cooler-than-cool unlocked world iPhone 5 and my Pico Freeloader solar charger, I won't even have to use WiFi or charge my phone in the towns, so if I am huddling under a tree in a snowstorm on the Pyrenees and want to talk to all of you, I will blog. I'm buying a chip with cheap French and Spanish data packages to stay connected with my loyal followers.
Take a look at my blog, and if you wish to join, just type your email into the 'subscribe' section to get automatic emails when I post something new. I will try to respond to every single one of you who posts a comment. I really want to hear from you all - even my critics! Your tips, suggestions, advice, and recommendations of off-the-track detours are welcome and will make my journey much more interesting. You can unsubscribe anytime my writing no longer trips your trigger!
I plan on writing two books when I return. I plan to write one based on my blog and the stories of the people I meet, and also plan to write a character-driven fictional story set on the Camino.
Buen Camino,
Jan
