As the accommodation Soeurs of Saint Francis is still unavailable what are the options in Limoges at the moment? Is there a Grand Séminaire or such like? The last time I was passing through Limoges I'd just reached La Souterraine from Vezelay but could only Airbnb...

My flight doesn't arrive until 2100hrs so on the 1st ... So I guess I'll need to locate a Airbnb?

I stayed at the Foyer d’accueil du Grand Séminaire. It is closed at the week-end and you must arrive between 14 and 17h.

It is a bit out of the city but I loved it there. They were all very nice. (€25 a night)

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
Phone them … There will be a way 😉
Ps: I sent you a text (or whatever you call it)
I've an option of either going back to La Souterraine or train to Cahors to continue where I left off in May this year... I've done the way from Limoges to Saint Jean and from Vezelay to La Souterraine, but on the way from Le Puy I've only ever got to Cahors (once May 2013 and again this May)

September 1st is still along time away!

My wife and I walked the Voie de Vezelay in June of this year and were also unable to find accommodation with either the Franciscan sisters (they are renovating) or the Grand Seminary so we stayed at an Airbnb. I will point out that Limoges was the only place where we couldn't find pilgrim accommodation. From Vezelay to Saint Jean Pied de Port we only met, perhaps, 15 other pilgrims therefore most of the time we were alone in the pilgrim accommodations. The hospitality we received was excellent!!

€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.

Wow I admire you! I gave up in Limoges (from Vézelay). Sadly my back didn’t allow me to go any further but … I have no wish to continue from where I left off. At the moment, I’m done with walking in France but… never say never 😉
Well done to you!

When I pass through Limoges, back to Leeds, I usually walk to the airport: as it's not too far, but I arrive fairly late(2100hrs) and I know that there is no public transport from the airport... I guess I can hitch into Limoges and I will definitely have to sort an Airbnb, or something on Booking, and decide what to do from the 2nd...

As I get older I definitely have more aches, and walking el Camino isn't the 'fun' it once was, but I still yearn for the peace of mind it gives me...

Get a spanish phone number with Airalo. eSim, so no physical SIM card. Easy to use app to add more funds if needed.
