Yipppppeeee!

For months I have had to click, and click, and click over and over again, to download a page, any page on the Fourm. It could take me 10 minutes to access a post to read or to get the "post" button to work.

Bit not anymore! 1 click and I'm in. It takes time, longer than normal, but not 10 minutes and 20 tries.

Hehe! Thank you Ivar. My appologies to the rest of you ;0).

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-
€2,-/day will present your project to thousands of visitors each day. All interested in the Camino de Santiago.
Yes, I know everyone else has not had problems since I asked months ago when the problems started if others had problems and the answer was no.

I am just saying that if Ivar twaeked something for some reason that I am super happy and grateful.

@Anemone del Camino it is always difficult to tell where poor performance issues like this arise using 'internet protocol' networks such as the web. In this case, though, your description of what you were doing indicates that you might well have been as much part of the problem by continually clicking on a page or button when you have seen no response.

Imagine the forum is like a warehouse, and when you arrive, you are allocated a person who will disappear into the depths of the warehouse to retrieve the material you have asked for. So there is a fat controller who is managing this picker, as well as the other warehouse staff that will package and deliver the things that you have asked for. When you click on a hot link, something like this will happen:

  • Fat Controller - 'Picker No 5, will you fetch me page 123456 and bring it to the packing department. It needs to be delivered to Anemone del Camino
  • Picker No 5 departs
  • and Anemone clicks the hot link again. When Picker No 5 returns
  • Fat Controller - That job was cancelled, here is a new job for you. Fetch page 123456 and bring it to the packaging department. It needs to be delivered to Anemone del Camino.
  • Picker No 5 drops whatever has been fetched, and goes back into the warehouse.
  • Picker No 5 gets back to the packaging department, and hands the information to Packer No 6. At that moment Anemone clicks the hot link a third time.
  • Fat Controller 'Hold everything on that package for Anemone de Camino - she has cancelled that job and sent us a new one.
  • Packer No 6 puts everything away.
  • The Fat Controller looks around, and finds that Picker No 5 has been re-tasked, and asks for the next available picker to report for a job
  • and on it goes

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
Hi there,

Hmm... I did not really do anything else than remove a few image and add another banner for the new 2017 guides.. but that should not have affected the stability of the forum (I think). This morning the server was updated + the forum software to a new version... (but that was this morning).

Even so, I am happy that it works better now! :-)

Greetings from a rainy Santiago!
Ivar
