Your remark, Juspassinthrough, made me laugh as it reminded me of when we rode the Camino back in 2013. It was July and very, very hot and I kept telling my husband that we should rest up during the middle part of the day because it was the hottest time then. He said it didn't matter because if I was expecting the temperature to drop just because it was early evening, I was sorely wrong. This did prove to be the case as 5.30 in the early evening was as hot, if not hotter, than 3.30 had been.
Seriously though, everybody, do drink loads of water (not sure beer will do it, although again my husband would dispute that). We honestly don't realise just how much our bodies sweat in this heat and it's only when we get a headache that we realise we haven't been drinking enough.
