Inexpensive hotel in Pamplona

Lora

Member
Can anyone suggest a hotel or hostel in Pamplona, on or within a couple blocks of the Camino. I will be arrving late after a long flight, and would rather stay in a hotel than an albergue the first night.

Thanks, Lora

No doubt others wil have recommendations but the CSJ guide makes some suggestions particularly:

Pension Lambertini c/de Mercadroes 17 4th Floor. Telephone NUmber 948210303 - " is central and right on the pilgrim route into the city; no sign other than a blue P and the word camas 18 euros dbl"

The CSJ guide recommends and lists others why not buy it? :

http://www.csj.org.uk/acatalog/The_CSJ_ ... in_23.html

Only £6 - worth every penny :)

We couldn't find the Pension Lambertini when we were there in July despite walking up and down the street for ages . . . there was no sign at all in the doorway of no 17 and no answer to the phone. Do you need to walk upstairs first before you see the sign? I'm afraid we just assumed it had closed.

Does anyone have any current info?

In the end we stayed at a quite expensive but pleasant and very well located hotel - don't bother with breakfast though (http://www.hostalarriazu.com/menu.htm).

Perfect memento/gift in a presentation box. Engraving available, 25 character max.
The Hotel Eslava is just off the Camino, off of Calle Mayor, near the Church of San Lorenzo where the statue of San Fermin is displayed. The room was clean & neat, the bathroom great. Price for a single was 35 euro in May.
