Hello pilgrims (new and old alike).
In both 2022 and 2023 I walked the Portugues Coastal with a few friends and decided to video the experience for the first time (I also walked in 2018 and 2019).
In 2022, I TRIED to encapsulate the feeling of the Camino and what we saw. It did well (13,000 views, not bad for someone who never makes videos). But people asked me to do something a bit "more" the next time.
So in 2023 we returned and I tried again to make an interesting video. To my shock, this time we received over 135,000 views (insane). And despite the ending being weak (I neglected to film much at the cathedral), it's been pretty well received and I like it.
But I want more feedback, so when I head back in 2025, I can provide people with an even more meaningful video. Note: this year I opted for The John Muir Way in Scotland which was fanTASTtic.
Sidenote: last year I was on a podcast talking about how the Camino helped me overcome an injury and change my life. I LOVED doing the podcast. Hope people enjoy it as well: https://www.spreaker.com/episode/episode-10-the-camino-cures-with-brian-weston--53466813
Let me know your thoughts. I am typically not a public person with this kind of stuff but I had too much fun not to share! Buen Camino
Open to feedback but I do hope people like the videos!
