How to get to Hornillos del Camino?

April 24: Camino Frances
Hi,

I am in Burgos right now and need a lot of rest because my foot is in pain. I already skipped the most between Logroño and Burgos by bus because I do not want to risk a serious injury. Anyways I have two days of rest left and I will try again to walk on Sunday. Just in case: what is the best way to get to Hornillos del Camino if I can’t walk? I already asked a taxi company and they said it is 47 euros on a Sunday. Is there another opportunity to get there cheap?

Thanks

Technical backpack for day trips with backpack cover and internal compartment for the hydration bladder. Ideal daypack for excursions where we need a medium capacity backpack. The back with Air Flow System creates large air channels that will keep our back as cool as possible.

Autobuses AMAYA operate a service from Burgos to Fromista leaving Burgos at 1330 on Saturdays. It doesn't have a stop at Hornillos del Camino but does stop at Castrojeriz. See:

The closest stop to Hornillos del Camino seems to be Villanueva de Argaño. Someone else might know if you can get a local taxi. Otherwise you might choose to re-start in Castrojeriz or Fromista.

The first edition came out in 2003 and has become the go-to-guide for many pilgrims over the years. It is shipping with a Pilgrim Passport (Credential) from the cathedral in Santiago de Compostela.
Autobus Amaya also stops in Tardajos.

If you think you can manage to (slowly) walk the distance from Tardajos to Hornillos, that might be an option.
