Any advice on getting to the Santiago airport from the city for an early (6:15 AM) flight? The busses don't run that early, and I have received quotes for a taxi from 20 euros up to 50 euros for the 7 mile ride. What fare should I expect? Can I call for a taxi the night before and have confidence that it will show up? Where would I meet it-- are vehicles allowed in the old city? Any advice would be most welcome!

Hola - the standard tariff for licensed taxis to Santiago airport from the centre is 21euros. The number is: 981569292
You can book in advance - you could get the hotel or albergue where you are staying to do it for you.
Taxis have access to the Old Town and will come to you!

I hope this helps.

John
