Bus or train to Irun/Hendaye then train to Bordeaux. Easy. Definitely no need to go any where near St Jean Pied de Port! As mentioned, Rome2Rio will give you some ideas, though I tend to check exact times with the train/ bus companies' own timetables just to be sure.
