How do I get a credential for the Via Francigena?

I went into the official website, but it said there was no way that a credential could be shipped to my home address. It does look like we would be able to get credentials in Lucca where we will be starting. How did others from the US get a credential?

The 2024 Camino guides will be coming out little by little. Here is a collection of the ones that are out so far.
The credentials from APOC work just fine on the Via Francigena. We used them from Lake Geneva to Rome. In general, they're much less formal about these things in Italy. Your only other option is to pick one up in Italy at the places identified on AEVF website, but that's a crap shoot since you never can tell when a particular place will be open in Italy. For example ,I've gone to the pilgrim office/ museum in Lucca on four separate occasions and only once was it open.

In 2019 you could get the official credenziale in Lucca in the tourist office and the Francigena Entry Point exhibition. This last one is on the east side of the old town and it had an okay display about the VF, plus some cool features like how fast you walk with a backpack, what calories you need for such and such distance etc.

Ideal sleeping bag liner whether we want to add a thermal plus to our bag, or if we want to use it alone to sleep in shelters or hostels. Thanks to its mummy shape, it adapts perfectly to our body.

€46,-

Hi. We do ship items from our on line shp[ worldwide. At the checkout stage you can input your details and the shipping cost will be worked out for you. Depending on what you wish to purchase you can then decide if you want to pay this or terminate the transaction. We do not make any profit on shipping costs merely pass them on to the customer. Hope this helps. Vince

I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I'm told they are available on the black market, but you have to meet the person in a dark alleyway. If you and your family have mafia connections, there is a twenty percent discount. Chuck

3rd Edition. More content, training & pack guides avoid common mistakes, bed bugs etc
I joined the Confraternity of Pilgrims to Rome and have purchased a couple of credentials that shipped to my home in the USA. Also, I ordered a couple of VF guidebooks for Italian routes from Terre di Mezzo website and they shipped a credential to my home in the USA.

Good luck!

I guess one of this points should be good enough to get your credentials.
