I'm planning to walk from Sarria to Santiago next week. Where are you headed? What brings you to the Camino? If you happen to be landing in Madrid next Tuesday (10/08/2024) and heading to Sarria, let's connect. I've always wanted to do the Camino for the challenge, spiritual journey, and adventure. I just received my Compostela! And after planning for 5 years--Camino cancelled in 2020--I have made the glorious walk! While rain was threatened every day, we had perfect weather and only encountered rain as we entered into Santiago. Wore my Sportivas and some hiking socks and padded those susceptible places on my feet and got no blisters. The walk is so beautiful especially coming through the forests. I give thanks to God for such a marvelous experience for such a peaceful, safe pilgrimage.

Wow, what a wonderful experience! Which Camino did you do? The Frances? The Portuguese? The Primitivo?

Hello ! I will also be starting my journey from Sarria to Santiago on the 8th. Arriving into Sarria late on the 6th and giving myself a day to get over jetlag. I orginally decided to the walk as I wanted to do a more active style vacation. Now that have been training and walking more and longer distances I know it is so more than that. This will be my first camino.
