I will be walking from Sarria on March 5. Will I need a puffer jacket? Will the back pack and the hours of walking be enough to stay warm?
Some colder mornings I found that I would wear all my layers for an hour or so, then take layers off as the day warmed up. I would often wear my fleece in the evening as well. Whether you choose a puffer jacket or a fleece is very much a personal thing, but I wouldn't be without one or the other.

Welcome! I too was in your place last year. We can’t predict weather so my advice is to roll with it. Great advice above from some very experienced folks. My kit included a fleece vest that was to be my alt pillow. Didn’t use it at all.

After wearing my poncho the first time at Cruz de Ferro, I chuckled with Boy Scout memories on how stuffy they become. That’s the only thing that would’ve been good to swap out. Next time it’ll be a rain jacket with pit zips for me. My worries also included having wet feet. The normal rains didn’t affect my footwear nor feet. Sure, they got wet, but they drained and functioned well.
