Hello all!
I'm heading to Spain next week to walk the Camino Norte. I'm very excited as I've walked the Francés route and am excited to be doing something new. My problem is that our train from Paris doesn't arrive until 23:04 so it will be too late to go to the Albergue de Peregrinos. I've already asked if they'll leave it open late for us and the answer was a resounding no!
So I've been searching for a budget pension or hostal, and it seems during high season many of these are double their usual price! I haven't been able to find anything for less than €70... I don't think I've ever spent that much on a hotel ever! Along the Francés route I was always able to find a pensión even in the touristy big cities for €35 or less. I would be very happy to camp and am almost tempted to sleep in the train station.
Does anyone have any suggestions for an economical place to sleep?
Thanks!
