You beat me to posting about the Golden Valley Pilgrim way. I am planning to walk the VDLP next year. Will then fly to the UK to catch up with relatives . Having seen the article , now thinking of walking the Golden Valley. I like the idea of staying in the churches, like a true pilgrim from the past.
Hereford is a beautiful county with plenty to see.

They lost me with sleeping in the crypts. And using the porta potty in the graveyard. Would love to do the walk with alternative lodging!!
