Hi,

I am arriving in Pamplona this Friday the 17th of May 7.25PM for my first camino.

I am hoping to be able to start camino by walking from SJPP to Roncesvalle on Saturday the 18th of May. However, this leaves me with the problem of being able to arrive in SJPP either Friday evening or Saturday morning. As far as i can see, the bus from Pamplona to SJPP leaves at noon, which i believe is too late for me to walk from SJPP to Roncesvalle on the same day.
Do you have any suggestions/tips of what to do?

Train for your next Camino on California's Santa Catalina Island March 30 to April 2
Do you need to start in St Jean? You can start walking from Pamplona and save yourself the time and money. Also you could take the bus to Roncesvalles and start from there. This is what many Spanish pilgrims do.

I'm not sure if i need to. Have just read a lot of exciting stuff about the first stage, walking over the Pyrenees. Also, i have got the idea that it would be nice to start the Camino from the "beginning" - St. Jean..

The one from Galicia (the round) and the one from Castilla & Leon. Individually numbered and made by the same people that make the ones you see on your walk.
