Today in history is the date when the Knights Templar were rounded and executed.

They were certainly rounded up on that date. Many suffered torture for months or years. The Grand Master Jaques de Molay was not executed till 1314.

I sometimes wish I could emulate Phillipe le Bel and round up and imprison my bank manager. Burning at the stake may be going a little too far, but if interest rates keep increasing this may need revisiting.
